Yup, still pregnant.
Work has eased up considerably, so I’ve had some time to think about what I’ve learned from being pregnant, and I thought I’d share.
You’re not an invalid, but you’re not the same physically either. While it can be tempting to take to the bed, unless under doctor’s orders to do so, getting up [...]

I don’t believe I’m going out on a limb when I say that change is difficult for almost everyone. We are animals deep down, and we like our predictable routines, just like my dog likes knowing when her meals and walks are going to come every day. Of course, the problem is that change is [...]

For those of you keeping score at home, I am now 34 weeks into my pregnancy. This means that I look and act pretty much like a beached whale. My interests these days center around lying on the couch. Needless to say, I haven’t been cooking much, and what cooking I have been doing has [...]

But something new has crept [...]

So, I haven’t been posting lately as much as I used to or as much as I would like. The reason why is that I’m pregnant, and for the first trimester, all I’ve been interested in doing is lying on the couch and watching TV. My energy level has been so low that I haven’t [...]

It’s been a tough couple of weeks. Between extreme craziness at work (more extreme than usual) and my husband traveling a lot and this gruesome weather and not getting enough sleep, my energy has been drained. Each day feels like I am being constantly battered by ocean waves taller than me. When I get home [...]
