In yesterday’s Minimalist column, I found a great suggestion. Repurpose last night’s vegetable side as tonight’s appetizer. Just puree the vegetable with some olive oil, lemon and seasonings, and serve as a spread for crudites or crackers. What a great idea for reusing leftovers!
I am always looking for a way to get more life out of leftovers or more use out of my kitchen tools. Since I started cooking more, I have grown to hate waste in the kitchen.
For instance, my son is starting to outgrow his first baby spoons. But the small, rubber-coated spoons make great tasting spoons as well. So they have new life.
